TÍTULO DE LA FOTOGRAFÍA: BODEGÓN EN FUGA

TEXTO EXPLICATIVO: En relación con los muchos bodegones cubistas que Picasso pintó, yo he fotografiado un bodegón en mi cocina desde un punto de vista muy alto, algo que también es muy raro.

TÍTULO DE LA FOTOGRAFÍA: AMANECER EN MADRID

TEXTO EXPLICATIVO: Amanecer en Madrid es una referencia a los cuadros que Picasso hizo desde la ventana de sus talleres del exterior. La fotografía representa un amanecer desde la ventana de mi habitación.

TÍTULO DE LA FOTOGRAFÍA: MANO DE GUITARRA

TEXTO EXPLICATIVO: He fotografiado un bodegón que he organizado en mi casa con elementos que recuerdan a Picasso y que él utilizó muchas veces: la guitarra, una tela de cuadros como la de los arlequines y una mano como la que hay en el Guernica que sujeta una flor.

TÍTULO DE LA FOTOGRAFÍA: ARLEQUÍN CANSADO

TEXTO EXPLICATIVO: Mi fotografía recuerda a un arlequín de los que pintó Picasso en el período rosa en el que muchos de sus temas están en el circo. He elegido la figura del arlequín porque me resulta divertido y alegre. Lo he realizado con un disfraz, al que he dado volumen con diferentes objetos (papeles, cojines...) y la cabeza es el trabajo cubista de mi autorretrato que hice en el taller del museo cuando hicimos la visita.

TÍTULO DE LA FOTOGRAFÍA: LA MUSA FASHIONISTA

TEXTO EXPLICATIVO: La musa fashionista es una representación moderna de los muchos cuadros que Picasso hizo sobre "El pintor y la modelo" ya que Picasso pintó a muchas mujeres durante su vida. En mi foto, la modelo es una muñeca Barby muy arreglada y el pintor es un Kent que en vez de un cuadro está haciendo una fotografía con mi móvil. La fotografía tiene la cara de la modelo como la interpretaba Picasso. En el fondo de mi cuadro está un teclado de ordenador y los altavoces.

Christmas Card Competition

Design an interactive Christmas E-card for the British Embassy in Madrid, win 250 Euros for your school and get your design seen by hundreds of people in Spain and the UK.

Christmas E-card :

It is a Christmas made using ICT (computers) to be emailed. You can use PowerPoint, Glogster, Photoshop, Gimp, Paint, Photoscape... whatever software you are good at.

Competition

The competition is open to pupils aged 13-14 studying in the 1st – 2nd nd Year of the bilingual schools project of the Comunidad de Madrid.

Theme

We have chosen the theme of the London 2012 Olympic Games and would like your design to reflect what you consider best represents the attractions of the London Olympic Games. The card should include a suitable Christmas message and should be as interactive as possible.

How to Enter

Create your interactive Christmas card which must include a Christmas Message and the name of your school in the bottom left-hand corner. Don’t forget that the theme is “What’s so great about the London 2012 Olympic Games”. Send your entries to my E-mail address or give them to me with your pendrive.

Deadline for entries

All entries must be received by Tuesday 22 November, so you will have to send them to me before the deadline.

The winning E-card will be decided by a panel of British Embassy chosen judges.

XVI certamen de cómic "Blasillo" 2011 para alumnos de Leganés, patrocinado por FORGES

He pensado que a lo mejor a algunos de vosotros os apetece participar en este concurso de cómic que están realizando los alumnos de Imagen y Comunicación de 2º de ESO. Eso sí, el plazo acaba el jueves próximo, pero no es mucho trabajo y puede ser divertido.

I think the competition is a good opportunity to raise awareness of the limitations of some people and try to make things easier for them on the day to day. Besides, all of you will work in groups (sketches and final work, of course).

It will be a great idea if you visit a real travel agency to inspire you (Viajes acceSIbles, Cruceros sin barreras, AccesibleBarcelona, AdaptamosGroup) or have a look to images in Google in Spanish and in English.

It will be interesting to read and watch the information I will give you about ADVERTISMENTS and PICTOGRAMS very soon.

Joaquín's Golf. Joaquin Rodrigo was a famous Spanish composer, who, despite becoming blind at the age of three, learned how to play the piano and violin with the help of Braille. But let's pretend that Joaquin liked to get out of the concert hall and play some golf - blindness didn't stop him from composing music, so why should it stop him from whacking a little white ball?.

Soldier Kids Poster Awards

Soldier Kids Poster Awards took place this morning in José de Saramago Cultural Center in Leganés. I'm sorry 1ºB and 1ºCD advanced and intermediate couldn't come. The Auditorium was completely full of students and only two groups of each High School could attend. You will agree with me that they had to be the ones of the winners.

Schedule:

• MSF (médicos sin fronteras) Presentation. Médicos sin fronteras de España.

• "Invisibles" 2007, a Spanish documentary produced by Javier Bardem (Goya 2007, the best documentary). It has 5 parts. We have seen the one which has been directed by Fernando León. It's just fantastic. It tells us about the drama of several thousand of children of the northern parts of Uganda. These children walk every night before the night falls to avoid being kidnapped by soldiers. Fernando Leon films, not avoiding the beautiful scenery of Uganda, many of the children and their stories and also those who take care of the shelters where "the night commuters" ("los viajeros de la noche") go looking for protection every night.

Soldier Kids Poster Contest

We are going to participate in a contest. So, our next task will be:

CONCURSO DE CARTELES: Niños-soldado (“Día mundial contra la utilización de los niños soldado”) Se convoca el I concurso de carteles en el ámbito de los derechos humanos y la promoción de los mismos, con el tema de los niños-soldado y para favorecer y ayudar a su completa erradicación, concienciando a los jóvenes escolares de su existencia. Participantes: Jóvenes escolarizados en Leganés. Se establecen tres categorías: A- Primer ciclo de ESO. B- Segundo ciclo de ESO. C- Bachillerato y ciclos formativos. Entrega de Trabajos: Máximo de dos trabajos por participante. Los trabajos se entregarán con los datos completos: nombre-apellidos, edad, teléfono, curso y centro. Estos datos aparecerán por detrás del cartel. Plazo de entrega: Hasta 13 de Enero Lugar de entrega: se entregarán en el IES al que pertenezca cada alumno. Exposición: Centro Cultural Saramago.
